The Platinum Preppy Wa Monogatari Edition collection is a beautiful blend of traditional Japanese aesthetics and modern functionality. Each design in this limited edition series is not just visually stunning but also rich with cultural symbolism. The pens are adorned with traditional Japanese patterns, each symbolizing a positive omen. The patterns are applied using silk screen printing, then embellished with colored powders like gold and silver. This technique, while distinct from traditional Maki-e lacquer work, still offers a textured, three-dimensional appearance thanks to the reflective powders.
The Preppy is equipped with a “Slip & Seal mechanism” that prevents the ink from drying out even after a year with the cap closed. You can write it down anytime, so you won't feel stressed.

During the Edo period, cats were an integral part of the lives of common people, widely kept as pets and mousers. They also frequently appeared in ukiyo-e and literature, leading to the development of a unique cat culture. Among the townspeople of Edo, it was believed that “cats bring good fortune,” and in merchant houses, keeping cats was thought to “lead to prosperous business,” which fostered the development of the beckoning cat culture.
