The Pelikan Souverän range are an unchanging icon of this distinguished brand. Designed in 1950, the fine pin-striped material takes months to meticulously create and is used to fashion a barrel that has a rich sheen and is self-polishing. The pen is embellished with Souverän engraved on the precious metal bands to announce its prolific heritage as the “sovereign” of pens.
Today, Pelikan offer their fountain pens and ballpoints in various sizes and finishes, denoted by the name and number. The Pelikan pens are plated in no less than rhodium or 24-karat gold.
This pen is also refered to as the Stresemann, which is in reference to the German Foreign Minister who was known for their pin-striped suits. The nib is 18-karat gold in a rhodium finish.
